Cookie Policy

What cookies the Gracie Foundation Jiu-Jitsu Network uses and what each one is for.

Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed to make the site work at all; others are only there because they help us understand how the site is used, and those we never set unless you say yes.

When you first visit you are asked what you are happy with, and nothing optional loads before you answer. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

The cookies we set

Cookie What it does How long
gfn_session Keeps you signed in as you move around the site Until you sign out
Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) Set by Stripe when you buy a course, to spot fraudulent payments Up to 1 year

Analytics cookies - only if you agree

These tell us how many people visit and which pages they use, so we can make the site better. They do not tell us who you are, and they are only set after you agree.

Set by What it does How long
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) Counts visits and pages, tells new visitors from returning ones Up to 2 years

The cookies in the first table are "strictly necessary": they exist to provide something you asked for, such as staying signed in or paying, so the law does not require us to ask permission for them. We do not use them to track you across other websites, and we do not share them with advertisers.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies - look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking them entirely will stop you signing in or watching the video library, because those genuinely need a cookie to work.

Your data

We do not sell your data. Our Privacy Policy explains what we hold, why, and how to ask us to remove it.
